Charlie’s 2nd Birthday party was a blast. We decided last minute to make it “Yo Gabba Gabba” themed and Megan and Carla did a great job on our shirts and Charlie’s dress. I tried my hand at some artwork and come up with some cutouts for people to take pictures in. We had a lot of fun and hope everyone else did as well, thanks to all who came.

Charlie was very excited to go with me in the morning to pick up balloons.

Lina was very excited about the present she got Charlie!

Megan and Carla made us some awesome shirts on very short notice.

The Pinata from the random Craigslist lady looked good. If you need one made we still have her number.

The cutouts were were fun for kids and adults.

Charlie had a blast with all her friends and family.

Unsuccsessful Christmas Card Pictures

So, we've been wanting to send out a Christmas Card for a couple of years now, but never really got around to it. With Charlie around now we figured we should really make an effort so that everyone else can see how cute she has gotten lately. We thought it would be funny to take a picture with some ugly sweaters but had trouble finding anything truly hideous enough to really be funny. We still wanted to take a funny picture and since we think that puffy vests are pretty funny, we thought we would go that route. We got some vests, we were even able to find one for Charlie, and drove out to the woods to take some pictures. After looking at the pictures we realized that they aren't really that funny, very "Old Navy", and even a little frumpy, but not that funny. We were pretty disappointed and we're back to the drawing board for Christmas Cards. We may just have to take some normal pictures for the Christmas Card or scrap the idea all together. If we don't get one put together in time here is one of the, "very Christmasy, but not that funny, puffy vest" pictures. At least Oso and Charlie look good!

The Perfect Storm

So it has finally happened, we have a blog. As you read this please be sure not to take this too lightly, this is a major achievement for us, which has taken us quite some time to accomplish. The perfect conditions for us to finally have a blog have finally occurred. It only took a lot of harassing from Cecilia, some major boredom at work, the relief that the end of the semester always seems to bring, and voila, we have a blog! Mind you, Megan is at home sleeping right now so the survival of our blog may very well depend on whether or not she finds out I've started it! So anyway here it is look forward to the many detailed and interesting posts which chronicle our adventures which are sure to come.
